OUR MANDATE

EDSS’s Artistic Portfolio is UTM’s destination for emerging performers, theatre-people, and creatives to develop their work, showcase their talents, and take part in a thriving community of artists. A microcosm of the professional theatre scene, we will foster a diverse range of events that push the boundaries of what the “drama” in “English and Drama Society” means. This academic year, the Artistic Portfolio will program an abundant season of theatre that includes a creation residency, a new works festival, a traditional play, an alternative solo-performance event, a student-written musical, and workshops and education initiatives in between! Whether online or in-person, EDSS’s Artistic Portfolio will come up with innovative opportunities that inspire the artistic body of UTM students to create theatre and find community.
