SYDNEY SCOTT
Co-Artistic Director
Sydney Scott (she, her) is an emerging artist and academic who is grateful for the space to produce unexpected opportunities for artists at UTM. She is currently in her third year of the Theatre and Drama Studies Specialist program at University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College, minoring in Women and Gender Studies. Sydney is passionate about queer performance art and the critical intersections of art, activism, and expression which she explores through her drag persona. This summer, she had the opportunity to work as a research assistant on a project that sought to find and highlight the work of marginalized voices in theatre. As an Artistic Director, Sydney is committed to making the 2021/2022 season as accessible as possible for all students, and creating a sense of community amongst theatre-people at UTM.
